GRAND RAPIDS – Tyler Baker has been a big points maker for the NorthPointe Christian boys basketball team this season.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pound senior gone from a double-figures scorer as a junior to more than doubling that scoring average this season.
After averaging 11.5 points per game as a junior when NorthPointe Christian made run to the Class C state championship game, Baker more than doubled the ante and is averaging nearly 24 points per game this year.
“Tyler is one of the best players in the entire Grand Rapids area,” NorthPointe Christian coach Jared Redell said. “He might be the overall leading scorer in the area, and he does it by shooting a high percentage.”
