Girls Junior Varsity Tennis, Girls Varsity Tennis · Girl’s Tennis wins the “River Valley” Tennis championship

If you were to congratulate Coach Fouty on another conference championship, you would most certainly get a smile.  While tennis is not an official sport in the River Valley Conference, This match has long been touted as the “conference championship” when the Mustangs square off with Western Michigan Christian and Muskegon Catholic.  (These are the only schools in the River Valley with tennis.)

While the NorthPointe doubles teams went 8-0 on the day, the key performances in the two dual wins for the NPC Mustangs were by singles’ players Samantha Stephens, a freshman playing 1st singles and Elizabeth Soper, a juinor playing 3rd singles.  Both first year varsity players, they faced opponents from MCC and WMC that were returning to the same positions they played in the 2011 girls’ season.

The Mustangs improved their season record to 3-1.  The team hosts West Catholic at home on Friday, April 13 at 4pm.
