VVB Team Pic Fall 2017

NPC Volleyball

Commitment   Whether you have been playing for years or are just beginning your career, commitment is what it takes to succeed.  At NPC, our players understand what it takes to become the best team in our conference. There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you are interested in doing something, you only do it when circumstances permit. When you are committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results and you persevere until those results are achieved.

Aggressive   Volleyball is a fast paced game. Whether you are the passer, setter or hitter on a team, you must be aggressive in your position to succeed. NPC volleyball players rise to this challenge and have their goals set high giving 100% during every match.

Teamwork   To be a successful team, you have to work together. Every player may have individual goals but the end result is that the team is successful. “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”   ~ Henry Ford

Attitude   Positive attitudes make successful teams. All sports teams have days where things just don’t go the way you want them to. The way NPC teams carry themselves through these rough times is an example of their heart. NPC volleyball players strive to show the example of Christ in every aspect of their life, on the court and off.

Expectations of NPC Volleyball Players

  • To balance academics, athletics, work and family,
  •  To improve as an individual player which will improve the team as a whole.
  • To maintain the same focus and enthusiasm whether you are between the lines or on the bench.
  • To trust your coach and your teammates, and behave in a way that earns their respect.
  •  To accept that decisions are made for the best interest of the team.
