Meet Recap

October 12, 2017

The Mustangs of NorthPointe Christian advanced to the State Finals for the 11th year in a row as they took home a 2nd place at Milham Park Golf Club in Kalamazoo. NorthPointe Christian is in year 13 of a girls program and Coach Tom Koert has been at the helm for all of those years fro the Mustangs.  And its been quite a run for Koert.

Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Central, who have been ranked 1st all year, won the Regional event, shooting 351. NPC shot 365, and edged North Muskegon who shot a 368.

The conditions were very wet and cold, sending a lot of scores up across Michigan. The Mustangs were led by Annelies Kraayeveld who shot an 88. Sabrina Langerak fired a 91.  Emily Clementz added a 92 and Amelia Gonzalez shot a 94. All 4 Mustangs placed in the top ten of this Regional of 11 total teams.

NPC now advances to the Finals at MSU October 20 and 21. This team has been a team of 8 all year. NPC is deeper than any team in division 4 in MI. NP is a good team today, and looks forward to a bright future given the youth on the roster.
